They change their eating habits, take dietary supplements, exercise and even change environment but end up far away from their dreams to achieve great health.

Today, I’m going to share with you 11 simple steps to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Trust me, you don’t necessarily need to exercise to live well.
11 SIMPLE STEPS TO A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE
#1 Drink water instead of FIZZY drinks:
When you are thirsty and you have a craving for something cold and sugary, don’t fall into the temptation of grabbing a cold drink from the fridge.
Go for water instead! Water is more refreshing and healthy. Drink several glasses a day to improve your health.
#2 Drink fresh fruit juice or plain Yogurt instead of milk or soft drink:
When you really want to take something cold, sugary and refreshing, buy lots of fresh fruits and making your own juice at home.
Desist from buying canned or bottled drinks from the supermarket. Fresh fruit juice beats all other soft drinks. Drinking Yogurt or Red tea is very healthy too!
#3 Choose whole grains:
Grains are everywhere; wheat, oats, barley, rice, and corn. Buy wheat bread instead of white bread, take oats for breakfast or eat brown rice for lunch.
#4 Make your own meals instead of ordering fast food:
Some people rarely eat home-cooked meals these days. Fast food and junk have become the order of the day because of our busy schedules.
If you want to live healthily, you need to abandon fast food and junk; make your own food at home.
Get a cookbook and try out new recipes during weekends. Prepare your own meals, take the quantity you need and refrigerate the rest.

#5 Buy Fresh or Frozen food instead of processed food:
Whether it’s chicken, turkey, beef or tomatoes; always try to go for fresh instead of processed.
It’s easier to identify fresh foods when they are raw and unfrozen.
Plus, it is so much healthier to eat fresh foods than processed foods. If you can, abstain from frozen and unprocessed food entirely.
#6 Replace RED meat with fish:
We all know red meat isn’t exactly healthy especially if you are trying to live healthily.
Cut down your intake of red meat; buy fish, chicken, turkey or seafood instead.
#7 Eat FRESH vegetables every day:
Make vegetables an essential part of your meal. Incorporate fresh vegetables into your daily diet.
Add carrots, spinach, parsley, broccoli, onions and lettuce to every meal whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Medical experts say veggies are important sources of many nutrients such as potassium, dietary fiber, folate (folic acid), vitamin A, and vitamin C.
#8 Eat FRUITS for snacks:
Do you crave some chocolate cookies or candy after lunch? Eat fruits like watermelon, apple, orange, berries, avocado etc.
Everyone knows fruits are very healthy for our body. Try to incorporate them into your diet every day.
#9 Enjoy NUTS instead of cookies:
When you need a snack at any time of the day, grab some nuts instead of cookies or chips.
Eating nuts as part of a healthy diet is actually good for your heart.
Nuts like walnut, cashew, almond, hazelnut, and pistachio contain unsaturated fatty acids and other nutrients.
Plus, they are a great snack; inexpensive, easy to store and totally easy to pack.
#10 Get more fresh AIR:
Technology has made life so comfortable with the invention of fans and air conditioners that people no longer see the need for fresh air.
They jump from their air-conditioned offices to their air-conditioned cars and finally to their air-conditioned homes.
Go out occasionally and get lots of fresh air into your system. Take long walks in the mornings or evenings; they are energizing.
#11 Get Enough Sleep:
With our busy schedules and loud gadgets, it gets harder to get enough sleep every day. Avoid staying up late on weekdays.
Make it a routine to go to bed on or before 10 pm. When you sleep early, you wake up refreshed and motivated.

*Do you know you can change your entire life by just drinking correct amount of water and eating right?
*It is quite common to overlook how important is water to us, especially for those facing health challenges.
*Many of us believe drinking liquids like fruit juice, tea, or soda will keep the body hydrated but it is not true.
*Up to 70% of our body is water. We need water in each of our cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate body temperature, blood sugar and maintain other bodily functions.
*Do you know that some beverages actually dehydrate you?
*Thirst is actually not a very good indicator of your level of hydration. By the time you feel thirsty, you’re probably already getting dehydrated.
*Drink more water and stay hydrated!
*Cut back on eating out; try to cook your food yourself with less salt, less sugar, and less oil. Add more fibers, especially fruits and vegetables in your meal!
*Keep the junk food away! Do not even think of buying it. Choose berries or other fruits and nuts as your snack in between meals!
*Reduce desserts and sweets such as cake, ice cream, candy, cookies, pie, and pastries. Consider fresh fruits, sugar-free candies as desserts instead.
* Only give yourself a treat once in a while!
